Civic literacy

Civic literacy is the set of knowledge and skills that allows an individual to participate in the political processes of your community. This includes voting, communicating with your local members of parliament, organizing coalitions, knowing how government works, and the rights and responsibilities of citizens and elected members of government. When you have strong civic literacy skills, you can make your voice heard by all levels of government.
