WorkBC Support for Trans+ Individuals

Literacy Now Burnaby understands that the Trans+ community may face difficulty in the job market due to social stigma. That’s why they are committed to being an ally for the Trans+ community. No matter our sexual orientation and identity, we all deserve the opportunity to engage in meaningful work. Women, Indigenous peoples, people with disabilities, people of colour, newcomers to Canada and individuals who identify as LGBTQ/2S are all under-represented in employment sectors across B.C.

WorkBC is working to increase our level of support for Trans+ people trying to connect to meaningful employment. Our goal is to ensure WorkBC Employment Services are accessible to all. If you identify as trans, non-binary, or gender diverse, WorkBC offers a safe and inclusive space, and customized employment services to meet diverse needs. Please contact us and let us know how we can help you reach your employment goals.
