Goal Setting and Life Literacy

Goal Setting and Life Literacy

Here comes 2023! As the new year approaches, are you planning on making new year’s goals? In this blog, we’ll go over life literacy, goal setting, and some ideas for goals in the new year. So, if you’re looking to grow this year, keep reading!

What is Life Literacy?

Life literacy is the literacy and skills you need to live life fully. It’s being able to communicate with others through reading, writing, speaking, and listening. It’s also the ability to learn new skills and use them in your life. Overall, life literacy is about achieving your goals and developing your knowledge and potential.

How Does Goal Setting Relate?

Goal setting is closely related to life literacy. Goals are about improving yourself, living your life fully, and life literacy is too! Goal setting is a powerful tool and you can definitely use it to improve your reading or writing, or to learn a new skill.

Setting SMART Goals

It’s hard to achieve your goals when you don’t have clear goals. SMART goals can help with that! They’re also a great way to start setting goals. SMART stands for

S = Specific

M = Measurable

A = Achievable

R = Relevant

T = Time-Based

Good SMART goals are all of these things, and you can see how SMART goals are much clearer. If you’d like to learn more about SMART goals, this is a great post on Indeed.
